I've recently had the wonderfully freeing "duh-scovery" that praying for prosperity is not about asking for monetary riches.
Books like Discover the Power Within (Butterworth) and The Quest (Jafolla and Jafolla) have helped with that. They clearly state the abundance God (Universe, Spirit, Source...) provides isn't necessarily money.
The very moment we stake our claim in Infinite Mind, that which we encompass is ours, along with the creative ability to shape it in the form of our materials needs.

God provides abundant ideas and creative energy and opportunities for me to manage. I can then work with them to be(come) the prosperity I want/need.
But reading it once (or twice) isn't always enough. I've given myself this reminding affirmation:
I thank you, God,
For sending me ideas that help me,
Help others, and help our Universe.
For sending me ideas that help me,
Help others, and help our Universe.
I've had a twofold takeaway from several days with this affirmation. First, I gladly encourage as many ideas and as much creative energy as God sends me. Second, that encouragement makes me more attentive to ideas (and opportunities) I might otherwise overlook.
